Samsung is wowing the crowds in Hall 5 today with a sumptuous selection of new products for tech-savvy Middle East businesses and consumers. The South Korean market leader in consumer electronics is once again taking centre stage at GITEX with an innovative array of the latest audio-visual, IT and mobile products. Chi Won Suh, president and CEO at Samsung Middle East and Africa, says: “By showcasing Samsung’s products at GITEX, customers can experience the know-how of the most up-to-date designs of digital products. Each of the various display areas created at the stand invites visitors to imagine how their individual worlds can be made more productive and exciting through the innovative line of Samsung’s design and technology.” “Samsung continues to focus on technology innovation and cutting-edge design to enhance customers’ digital experience in the Middle East and around the world,” explains Chi Won Suh. Samsung’s massive GITEX stand covers almost 700 square metres and has been designed to provide show visitors with an in-depth overview of its ‘imagine the possibilities’ theme, providing visitors with an insight into trends that will shape the future of technology. For the largest IT event in the region, Samsung has lined up a bevy of cutting-edge products at the heart of home entertainment, IT and mobile technology. Products on display include the latest plasma TVs, the first Blu-ray disc player for the Middle East market, the smallest laser printer in the world, a wide variety of products for mobile phones and an entirely new concept MP3 player. Samsung is also introducing its notebook range to the Middle East market for the first time this year. The vendor does not yet sell its notebook products in the region, but its decision to display the latest innovative laptop models GITEX hints at the possibility of a future launch. Samsung’s notebook display will focus on the SSD notebook PC and also the ultra mobile PC. The ultra mobile Samsung Q1 notebook weighs in at just 777g and features the latest touch screen technology. For visitors interested in the latest advances in consumer electronics technology, Samsung is set to impress with its 40” LE40M91 LCD TV with high powered LED backlight technology, which received Europe’s prestigious ‘Video Innovation Award’ from the European Image and Sound Association (EISA). In addition to its comprehensive product displays the Samsung stand also features a Samsung Mobile Fun Club booth. The booth is packed with fun-filled activities including the opportunity for visitors to download audio and video clips onto Samsung mobile phones.
