Cisco regional event to attract record numbers

Cisco has announced that it has received a record number of registrations for its upcoming CiscoX event, being held next week in Dubai.

Cisco has announced that it has received a record number of registrations for its upcoming CiscoX event, being held next week in Dubai. In less than two weeks since the opening of registration, Cisco claims to have received over 1,000 enrolment requests from the GCC, North Africa, Levant and Pakistan The event will mark the first time such a large number of its customers and partners from the Middle East has congregated under one roof. Samer Alkharrat, general manager at Cisco Gulf, commented: “It is extremely exhilarating to witness the enthusiasm and support of our customers and partners in joining our effort. We are positive that the event will be a successful and enriching one.” With CiscoX, the networking giant hopes to celebrate the efforts of partners in achieving Cisco’s growth of over 50% during fiscal 2006. The event is also designed to allow Cisco customers and partners to share their expertise with each other and build relationships with some of the region’s leaders in networking and communications.
