Toshiba promotes Varghese

Toshiba has promoted regional sales and marketing manager, Santosh Varghese, to a newly created role of assistant general manager for the Middle East and Africa. Varghese will support regional boss Ahmed Khalil and focus on business and product planning activities for the MEA region.

Toshiba has promoted regional sales and marketing manager, Santosh Varghese, to a newly created role of assistant general manager for the Middle East and Africa. Varghese will support regional boss Ahmed Khalil and focus on business and product planning activities for the MEA region. “Santosh Varghese has proven great loyalty to the Toshiba brand and commitment to developing marketing programmes,” said Khalil. “He is a great asset to us — his experience in the region and his knowledge of Toshiba will enable him to ensure the continuity of management support for all our representatives and network partners in the Middle East and Africa.” In his previous position, Varghese was responsible for the sales and marketing activities for the GCC. Before joining Toshiba, he was channel manager and product manager for distributor Emitac, where he was responsible for providing technical pre-sales support to the reseller channel. Varghese, who has been with Toshiba for four years, stated: “This is a tremendous opportunity and I am looking forward to further strengthening Toshiba’s position as a leading vendor for notebook computers in the MEA.”
