Mindware gets Wyse

Thin client vendor Wyse Technology has awarded value-added distributor Mindware exclusive rights to carry its portfolio across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Wyse’s thin computing solutions manage and service any thin client from one central location and should provide a neat fit with Mindware’s existing vendor line-up, which includes access infrastructure software vendor Citrix.

Thin client vendor Wyse Technology has awarded value-added distributor Mindware exclusive rights to carry its portfolio across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Wyse’s thin computing solutions manage and service any thin client from one central location and should provide a neat fit with Mindware’s existing vendor line-up, which includes access infrastructure software vendor Citrix. Nehme Mouchantaf, software and solutions unit manager at Mindware, said: “This is a significant win that further underscores Mindware's status as the preferred regional IT distributor for global technology leaders. With IT Departments of organisations across the public and private sectors looking to lower costs, reduce system complexity and provide support for remote users, Mindware has been facing increased demand for advanced computing solutions.” He added: “Our strategic alliance with Wyse will go a long way in addressing this ever-growing demand. Moreover, the addition of an industry pioneer like Wyse brings further value to our client portfolio and diversifies our product offering in thin computer solutions to present a wider choice for end-users.” IT distributor Mindware carries a range of vendors including Microsoft, Intel, CA, Juniper Networks, Novell, Seagate, Dell and Business Objects. As documented in Channel Middle East’s Power List published earlier this year, Mindware totalled sales of US$180m in 2005. It harbours plans to expand its revenues by 20% this year to take it over the US$200m mark.
