Adnan Al Falah, the former managing director of Tech Data Middle East, has returned to the UAE after a vacation in the UK. Al Falah, who declared his intention to move back to the UK after quitting Tech Data, has had a change of heart and now plans to stay on in the Middle East and take on a senior management role in the channel. “I have now finished at Tech Data,” explained Al Falah. “I have been back in the UK for some time spending time with my family and have only just returned to the UAE. I have been in this region for five-and-a-half years and have made some strong friendships in the Middle East. I have decided that it is probably in my interests to remain in the region.” “I have been in the distribution game for a long time and this is a region where there are many options and excellent opportunities. There are offers on the table but I have not accepted anything yet. I expect that I will be staying in distribution but taking on a new role is not a decision that can be entered into lightly,” Al Falah added. Al Falah announced his decision to step down as managing director of distribution giant Tech Data’s Middle East operation at the beginning of August. Hanspeter Eiselt, a senior EMEA executive at Azlan, Tech Data’s value added distribution unit, replaced Al Falah as regional boss.
