FDC is gearing up to show the strength of its portfolio at Gitex 2006 as the regional distributor looks to cement relationships with its existing reseller base and also reach out to potential new customers at the event. The company, which focuses on IT components distribution and PC assembly activities, is planning an action-packed stand showcasing a wide range of products including the latest notebooks from both Lenovo and NEC. The FDC stand will also feature XPC and Shuttle small form factor PCs. For those that prefer to see the latest innovations in the components space, FDC’s stand will provide them with the perfect Gitex location with the latest motherboards from ASRock and Elitegroup lining up alongside graphics cards from XFX and Xpertvision as well as optical disk drives from both LiteOn and NEC. “FDC is appearing at Gitex to present the new generation PC and to increase channels for key products in different regions in the Middle East,” says Marissa Safe, VP at FDC. “We will be featuring the new generation XPC as well as showcasing our other key products and we will be looking to qualify new channels for the region.” “FDC feels that participating in Gitex raises our profile in the marketplace and the higher profile we have the more business we generate,” Safe adds. “We carry premium products that are not visible enough in the Middle East. There are opportunities everywhere. The Middle East is a focus market for us and it is up to us to capitalise on the opportunities presenting themselves in this region.” FDC has clearly mapped out its business objectives in the Middle East. The company remains committed to developing new channels, boosting its market share and increasing its overall levels of business within the region.
