The clock is ticking down the hours until the IT Weekly Arab Technology Awards begins – the leading technology awards event in the entire region. While it is easy to make such claims, we should point out that we are not the ones making them: just see what one of last year’s winners said about the event. "I am very proud of my accomplishments while serving at the MoICT and the best achievement that I am proud of was receiving the award of best partnership between private-public sectors from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoom at GITEX 2005" Her Excellency Nadia Al Saeed, former Minister of ICT, Jordan The IT Weekly Arab Technology Awards 2006 are designed to recognise and reward the people, products and companies that have contributed to the region’s ICT development. As the most widely read weekly business-to-business technology publication in the Middle East, IT Weekly’s readers are perfectly placed to nominate and judge the year's most prestigious information technology awards. The first round of nominations has now closed and we are now encouraging our readers to vote online for their preferred technology companies. Further details on the awards — and how to vote on them — can be found on the ITP Business website, under the address below. click here to find out more. As with last year’s awards, the award winners will be honoured at a special event taking place on Sunday, 19 November — the second night of Gitex — at the Habtoor Grand, Dubai.
