Viewsonic displays clear Middle East vision at Gitex

Display vendor ViewSonic is tightlipped about what people can expect to see from it at this year’s Gitex Dubai, but has promised a raft of new products and promotions to attract visitors.

Display vendor ViewSonic is tightlipped about what people can expect to see from it at this year’s Gitex Dubai, but has promised a raft of new products and promotions to attract visitors. “We will of course be announcing various promotions during the show and there will also be some very exciting and unique new product announcements,” says Aaron Fright, regional director at ViewSonic. The vendor is hoping this year’s event will reinforce its regional market position as a leading supplier of desktop displays, digital televisions and projectors. “Gitex is an ideal platform to showcase the ViewSonic product portfolio and to debut and announce any new, innovative and groundbreaking products and technologies,” Fright comments. “Our over-riding objective is to retain and grow our current market share position.” Fright says ViewSonic will use the show to expand its regional customer base and talk with partners. He claims that Gitex Dubai, unlike other traditional trade and consumer shows, is important at a regional level. Fright says year after year the Middle East market demonstrates that it is becoming an increasingly early adopter of technologies. “The majority of the key markets in the region have excellent and continuously improving IT infrastructures that allow them to harness some of the new and innovative technologies making users more sophisticated and technically aware,” he adds.
