Dubai-based regional distributor Almasa is promising its existing and potential customers a special Gitex in 2006. With new CEO Frank Sheu at the helm, Almasa has gone from strength-to-strength in 2006, bolstering its product portfolio, announcing plans to boost the number of regional stocking points it offers and introducing a range of value-add services for resellers. Another major distribution force operating in the region, Golden Systems Electronics (GSE), plans to highlight the depth of its product portfolio at Gitex this year. “Our primary focus for the event is to bring together our channels and partners and thus strengthen our ties with our partners by offering greater incentives, rewards and benefits,” explains Sina Dadras, marketing manager at the regional distribution outfit. “Gitex gives us a meeting platform for our channels and partners, helping us to further strengthen our ties with them.” GSE’s portfolio includes Gigabyte, Logitech, Kingmax, AMD, Leadtek, Teac, Twinhan, Axper, Axtrom, Labtec, nVidia, Compro, ATI and VIA. “GSE feels that the Middle East is a huge market and contains many potential growth markets and opportunities as technology and development makes amazing progresses,” says Dadras. “Participation at Gitex this year contributes to the company’s strategic business objectives as we aim to increase our distribution network to reach all the potential markets in the region. Our aim is to offer channel partners enhanced benefits and rewards,” he adds. GSE prides itself on providing business partners with a reliable source of leading PC products at competitive price points.
