3i Infotech, the global IT company whose solutions span the banking, insurance manufacturing, government and commercial sectors is planning to launch its MFund, Asset and Mutual Funds Management Solution at Gitex. MFund/AM streamlines fund accounting, valuation and investment management, according to Hari Padmanabhan, deputy MD of 3i Infotech. Elsewhere at Gitex, business solutions supplier Epicor Scala will be scouting for new channel partners at this year’s Gitex. Ranjit Rajan, regional marketing and channel development manager for Epicor in the Middle East, says: “We will be looking out for potential channel partners from across the region. “We are one of the leading enterprise software providers in the MENA region.” Software and hardware solutions that ease the task of document management will be the main focus for distributor Forefront this year. The fast-growing company, which has agreements in place with multiple vendors, is keen to boost its regional profile even further. Regional sales manager Johni Jabbor and the rest of the Forefront team plan to meet partners and customers at the event. In the dynamic world of business intelligence, Business Objects (BO) is having its own stand at Gitex for the first time. The company’s direct presence will enable it to demonstrate how Middle East companies can leverage data locked in disparate enterprise systems to drive business performance and innovation. New regional boss David Brierley will make his Gitex debut as a BO employee. Sybase plans to use this year’s Gitex as a platform to promote its world-class products, focusing on its data warehousing and internet banking solutions. “Gitex is the perfect event for us to announce and promote our new technologies and initiatives, meet our customers, as well as identify new prospective customers,” says Hisham Malak, channels and marketing director at Sybase.
