Distribution giant eSys plans to take its assembly credentials to the next level with the launch of a notebook PC range at Gitex. Pavan Gupta, EMEA director at eSys, says: “We are aiming at boosting our technology distribution capability by having in place more cargo stocking points and local service points; expanding our PC business by launching eSys notebooks.” Other companies will also be using the show to launch new product ranges. UAE-based audio and video (AV) specialist Almoe FZ LLC is using its stall at Gitex this year to show off its latest line of display and presentation products. The firm distributes a wide variety of AV products, which covers multimedia projectors from Epson and Hitachi, Sony video-conferencing systems, IP cameras, interactive plasmas and boards from Polyvision, and wireless touch panel control systems from Creston. “At Gitex, we plan to showcase the latest cutting edge technology in our field, offer special deals and also set-up live demo consoles. It is also an ideal platform for our principals to meet existing and potential customers,” says D.S. Krishnamurthy, general manager of Almoe. Almoe plans to display a range of LCD TVs, projection screens and interactive boards. A number of video conferencing solutions from Sony will also be on display. The AV specialist also plans to unveil its latest line-up of multimedia projectors, colour and mono-laser printers from Epson and Brother, in addition to large format printers, scanners and photo labs. On the growth front, Krishnamurthy revealed that Gitex, as well as the Middle East market, has helped Almoe grow significantly during the past few years.
