Cal Micro is on the hunt for more customers at this year’s Gitex as the international distributor looks to expand its business across the Middle East and Africa region. Set up in 1998, Cal Micro has carved a niche as a trusted supplier of computer products — both new and refurbished — and spare parts for notebooks, printers and servers. “Cal Micro, with a wide variety of products from world-class manufacturers, provides its customers with access to a large supply of quality genuine products to choose from more than one hundred thousand computer parts,” says Khalid Hamade, president at Cal Micro USA. “Realising the importance of customer service, Cal Micro takes pride in its professional customer service programme that enables its customers to get needed support in a timely fashion and with seamless processes,” he adds. Hamade claims that competitive pricing is one of the main reasons behind Cal Micro’s success achieved as a leading international distributor. “At Gitex, we are looking forward to meet our current and future partners and introduce them to the latest offerings of components and spare parts,” he continues. Cal Micro will also demonstrate its ‘Source Partner II’ computer parts database, which includes more than 100,000 items with product images and technical notes. During Gitex, the company is offering a free one-year subscription to the database, which is worth approximately US$2,500. “The main strengths of Cal Micro are that it offers genuine, high quality products from known world manufacturers, competitive prices and immediate delivery,” Hamade concludes. Cal Micro’s product portfolio includes all PC components, including memory modules, CPUs, a wide range of storage products, motherboards, multimedia (CD/ DVD/CDRW), video cards, comms products, and notebooks in addition to digital cameras, networking and internet devices. Cal Micro staff will be on hand to talk visitors through the business model and explain the range of value-add services that the company offers.
