Amr Hassan, general manager at HP’s imaging and printing group (IPG) in the Middle East, will work alongside the regional IPG team to showcase the massive portfolio of products that the vendor carries in the region. HP has become the clear number one in the large format printing (LFP) sector in the Middle East. Expect new IPG products for customers of all sizes at Gitex. And if you’re buying a new high-end printing solution, it may be worth investing in a reliable power supply to make doubly sure your new equipment stays up to speed. While power cuts are not likely to be the first thing on the minds of exhibitors at this year’s Gitex, it is perhaps a sobering thought that a disruption to power supplies could render much of the kit on display at the event temporarily useless. But for one company exhibiting at Gitex, the threat of power cuts offers a major business opportunity. PCE UPS Systems Inc, a Canadian supplier of power protection and power quality technology, is preparing to promote some of its latest products at Gitex, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), solar-powered apps, and specialist batteries. PCE UPS offers a full line of uninterruptible power supplies, stabilisers, industrial-grade batteries, as well as power management software and services. It also has telecommunications equipment, such as inverters, rectifiers, and converters. “The Middle East market is a growing market with great opportunities. At Gitex, we will be promoting UPS products, batteries and solar applications,” says Mary Azouri, deputy general manager, PCE UPS. “Our UPS product line ranges from 600VA up to 3200kVA and is ideal for any device, from workstations to servers and other office equipment,” she concludes.
