Brand-Rex’s structured cabling solutions will be centre-stage at Gitex 2006, with the company set to demonstrate a range of new products and innovative systems. Among the advances the company will be showing off is the new automatic provisioning tool which forms part of Brand-Rex’s SmartPatch real-time physical layer management system. Designed to significantly improve the planning and provisioning processes undertaken by network technicians within data centres and work space environments, Brand-Rex’s SmartPatch provides users with a range of facilities that automate and speed deployment and reduce the amount of time spent on planning and implementing MAC (moves adds and changes) tasks. “SmartPatch is already one of the industry’s leading intelligent, real-time, physical-layer infrastructure management systems,” says Brand-Rex marketing and business director, Ian Wilkie. Brand-Rex takes great pride in the professional accomplishments of its staff, who add value to its innovative product range by being able to deploy the solutions to maximum effect. Recently it announced its engineer, Rosamund Neat, had won the prestigious IEC ‘1906’ award, marking an achievement which is fundamental to the IEC’s mission. Brand-Rex also highlighted the achievement of one of its staff qualifying for the UK’s Horse Of The Year equestrian show. But one thing is for certain: there will be no horsing around for Brand-Rex at Gitex.
