HP goes for gold

As the Gold Sponsor of Gitex Shopper and Consumer Electronics Expo 2006, vendor giant Hewlett Packard (HP) is planning something special for this year’s event. HP has already reserved space at Gitex Shopper for an HP Zone, which will feature the latest breakthrough technologies.

As the Gold Sponsor of Gitex Shopper and Consumer Electronics Expo 2006, vendor giant Hewlett Packard (HP) is planning something special for this year’s event. HP has already reserved space at Gitex Shopper for an HP Zone, which will feature the latest breakthrough technologies. While precise details are still being finalised, Mike Cook, Consumer Market Manager imaging and printing group at HP Middle East, gave some clues as to what Gitex Shopper visitors could expect. “We have now confirmed that there will be a dedicated HP Zone at the event, he says. “HP is delighted to be associated with the Gitex Shopper and we are looking forward to showing the strength of the HP portfolio. “We are considering a smart home concept in the HP Zone, which will feature a wide array of products and show visitors the lifestyle benefits on offer,” adds Cook. “This will include notebooks, printers, and other HP products.” While HP has more exciting events up its sleeve, Cook is not yet willing to divulge full details as the company is still waiting for permission from the relevant authorities.
