Tejari, the premier online business-to-business marketplace in the Middle East, is planning to showcase a variety of new online procurement services and offerings at this year’s Gitex. The company is moving to a larger stand in the Sheikh Rashid Hall as part of the Dubai World presence at the show. Omar Hijazi, CEO at Tejari, says: “One of the main areas of focus for Tejari at Gitex will be the next-generation technology platform that Tejari marketplace is implementing, and the significant benefits that this will bring to its trading partners in terms of functionality and ease of use. The new platform will not only introduce the most advanced online procurement solution in the market, but will also give Tejari members better value, more business benefits and greater customisation, with offerings that are developed for specific industry sectors, based on Tejari’s six years of experience in the market.” As an additional service to Gitex visitors, Tejari will also offer representatives from medium to large sized organisations a free session with the Tejari Expert procurement service. Tejari consultants will provide free of charge an initial consultation to discuss the benefits — such as cost savings and aggregated purchasing — that can be harnessed through online procurement and what steps are needed to prepare that business to move to online services as well.
