Tandberg, a global provider of video communications products and services, will use GulfComms to promote brand awareness and meet its existing customers, while also creating new sales opportunities across the Middle East. Considered by many industry observers as a market leader in visual communications, Tandberg develops and markets systems and software for video, voice and data. With its recent opening of a Middle East base in DIC, Tandberg has shown its desire to expand and its confidence in the region. “We have had significant growth in the Middle East and we will continue to invest in the Middle East market,” says Ida Louise Asplund Sjo, Tandberg’s marketing manager, who adds that its presence at this year’s GulfComms is important for the company’s success in the region. “We will continue to expand,” she adds. Lars Ronning, regional director for emerging markets at Tandberg, adds: “The main themes for GulfComms will be the strength that we have on the networking side and also the fact that we now have a high-definition (HD) solution in our portfolio. As more bandwidth is made available in the Gulf, HD solutions are becoming easier to use.”
