Abu Dhabi-based systems integrator Emircom has made the grade and catapulted itself to gold partner status within networking giant Cisco’s partner programme. Emircom claims that its new status assures customers that they are receiving the highest standards of network expertise and support capabilities. Cisco’s partner certification programme provides a range of resources designed to develop expertise in selling, implementing and supporting Cisco network solutions. “The programme also ensures consistent delivery of industry-leading support by maintaining rigorous standards for network expertise,” explained Tarek Ghoul, regional channel manager at Cisco Gulf and Pakistan. Debasish Guha Roy, chief operating officer at Emircom, added: “Achieving Cisco gold partner certification reflects our commitment to Cisco Systems and our clients in providing expertise in design, integration, and management of converged infrastructures.” Cisco certified partners enjoy a range of channel benefits including a listing on the Cisco partner locator, access to online training information, marketing and sales tools as well as event and seminar information. As partners progress upwards in Cisco’s channel programme they also increase their access to Cisco’s technical support teams and product information. Emircom has achieved advanced technology certifications from Cisco in a number of fields including routing and switching, security and wireless LAN as well as specialisations on IP communications, CRM and storage. Emircom has also fared well in Cisco’s customer satisfaction surveys. Established in 1984, Emircom now claims that it is one of the top five systems integrators in the UAE. With 100-plus employees the company’s operations and areas of expertise span networking, systems, storage, security, wireless solutions, infrastructure management and convergence. In addition to its UAE offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Emircom also has branches in Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
