KTV Middle East (ME) has become the first company to establish a television manufacturing plant in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone. KTV ME, which is a subsidiary of South Korean consumer electronics vendor Korean Electronics Corporation, commenced manufacturing a range of LCD TVs at the plant last month. The factory is also producing 42-inch multi-TV monitors, which are designed for networked applications. KTV ME general manager Saad Omar said the company was pursuing an aggressive expansion strategy in the Middle East. “We are taking a direct marketing approach in a bid to grab market share in the GCC,” he said. “We place special emphasis on craftsmanship and forging strong partnerships with our clients. We are committed to manufacturing and marketing a wide range of consumer electronics products at reasonable prices and providing quality services to our clients.” Omar said KTV ME was also interested in securing OEM deals with established brands in the market. “We will offer good pricing margins to vendors, best selling prices to end-users and quality services to all of our clients,” he said. “We have a solid promotional plan in place for our products. We are also capable of manufacturing products to meet the specific technical demands of our clients.”
