The Cleopatra Beauty Institute (CBI) in Dubai is offering a number of specialised courses for the September-December season. The institute has both long- and short-term courses, lasting up to three months and available on either a full- or part-time basis. The spa management course is designed to help aspiring industry professionals to further their careers. The comprehensive course is divided into three modules covering every aspect of spa management, from day-to-day operations of the spa to handling marketing, finance and stock management. The CIDESCO International Diploma, considered to be the most valuable qualification in the health and beauty industry, is another popular course offered exclusively at CBI. “More than 30 countries across the globe participate in CIDESCO exams, with successful candidates virtually guaranteed a lucrative career in a variety of sub-sectors within the industry,” explained Joumana Tannous, CBI’s general manager PR. “CBI is the only authorised beauty institute in the Middle East offering postgraduate and diploma courses for CIDESCO.” Also amongst the long-term course offerings this season is the CIBTAC qualification. Touching on a wide variety of beauty and health related topics from body massages to skin treatments, anatomy to aesthetics, reflexology to aromatherapy, CIBTAC allows candidates to become specialists in a particular field. In addition, CBI introduced two new courses in hairdressing this September, both of which lead to an international qualification. Short-term courses are also available, and the institute offers a range of qualifications in everything from basic skin care, make-up techniques and nail extensions to ear candling and Balinese massages.
