Hotel Show confident of more growth

The Hotel Show, an annual supplies exhibition for the hospitality industry, looks set to present a bigger and better edition in 2007 as show organisers announce that they have already reserved an additional 2500m² of stand space, making a total of 13,000 m², to cope with escalating sales enquiries for next year.

The Hotel Show, an annual supplies exhibition for the hospitality industry, looks set to present a bigger and better edition in 2007 as show organisers announce that they have already reserved an additional 2500m² of stand space, making a total of 13,000 m², to cope with escalating sales enquiries for next year. The industry showcase, organised by dmg world media Dubai Ltd, is sceduled for June 2007, at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. “At this year’s event we hosted 700 exhibitors from 46 different countries, representing a 30% increase over the previous year. With the regional hospitality industry in such a buoyant mood, we are confident that our projections for 2007 will be realised,” said Maggie Moore, exhibition director, The Hotel Show. The event has seen visitor numbers increase over the last two years. In 2005, it attracted 8124 visitors, marking a 44% increase over the previous year and this year more than 11,500 trade visitors were recorded, a further increase of 42%. Visitor profiles included regional hotel owner-operators, procurement specialists, and architects and interior designers. Managing directors and hotel general managers accounted for more than a third of the total visitors. In 2007, The Hotel Show will debut a technology, systems and security pavilion following consultation with exhibitors and visitors.
