UPS celebrates UAE success

Logistics giant now employs 160 staff and has offices across the seven emirates as well as in Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai Airport Free Zone.

UPS last week celebrated ten years of operations in the UAE. UPS UAE now employs 160 staff and has offices across the seven emirates as well as in Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai Airport Free Zone. “The UAE is a market with tremendous growth opportunity and we are constantly looking at ways to enhance our service to our customers,” said John Tansey, country manager for UPS UAE. “UPS is at the forefront when it comes to adopting user-friendly, Internet-based solutions to help customers track and trace and receive their packages more quickly and easily, making us one of the leading logistics service providers in the UAE with proven expertise across all industries.” Sixteen UPS flights come into Dubai every week, from destinations as far apart as Cologne, Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. Goods are assigned for delivery in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
