Diabetes centre to outsource IT management

Abu Dhabi’s new Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC) has contracted IT outsourcer, Injazat Data Systems, to provide IT-managed services and assume full responsibility for the centre’s IT strategy and infrastructure.

Abu Dhabi’s new Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC) has contracted IT outsourcer, Injazat Data Systems, to provide IT-managed services and assume full responsibility for the centre’s IT strategy and infrastructure. Under the terms of the contract, Injazat is responsible for IT infrastructure management, roll out and ongoing support of ICLDC’s IT systems and infrastructure. Injazat has also implemented an Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for the Centre to manage its finance, HR, payroll and procurement operations. Dr. Maha Taysir Barakat, Medical Director of ICLDC said: “We are glad to entrust the responsibility of provision and maintenance of our IT infrastructure to Injazat. This agreement allows us to benefit from the latest world-class, cost-effective technology applied with best practices, and facilitates our provision of prompt and efficient medical and treatment services to our patients." The facility aims to become the region’s leading medical centre providing the highest level of specialised patient care from first diagnosis to the management of all complications associated with diabetes. Injazat has also been involved in the deployment of a thin client, terminal-based solution at ICLDC and has also built an interface between the ERP platform and the centre’s management system.
