Contractors Ali Moosa and Sons and China Steel have been short listed for the contract to build three glass-fronted towers in Jumeirah Village. The contract, estimated at around US $190 million (AED700 million), will be awarded at the end of September. Aspire Real Estate and High Rise Real Estate are behind the $272 million Jumeirah Wave Business Towers – three 45-storey business and commercial buildings whose wave-style design incorporates a mixture of steel and glass. “The glass that will be used is heat and water-protected,” said Bhavesh Rachchh, director, Aspire Real Estate. The project has been designed by Dimentions, a Dubai-based architect and design firm. It will be built over 111,000m2 and will include 40 floors of commercial office space, along with 2,600 car park spaces, 48 shops, restaurants and a variety of entertainment zones. “We are recreating an international concept of ‘intelligent office’ in Dubai,” said Harshit Kantaria, managing director, Aspire Real Estate. “When completed, each office will be equipped with high speed wireless broadband and fully automated building systems like fire and crisis management systems, air conditioning and high speed elevators all backed up by a central IP enabled backbone for each tower.” A shopping mall will connect the three towers. “A fully equipped health club in each tower, along with shopping and entertainment options in the mall, will provide a complete business and lifestyle experience for visitors and employees of the Jumeirah Wave offices,” added Kantaria. Jumeirah Wave Business Towers will be located at the junction of Al Barsha Road, Emirates Road and Al Khail Road, in Jumeirah Village. It will also be connected to the Jumeirah Village internal tram network, which will be linked up to the Dubai Metro. Construction is expected to start by the end of this year.
