Management software powerhouse CA has strengthened its North African presence by signing ITS Canada to front its efforts in Libya. ITS becomes CA’s maiden Enterprise Solution Provider (ESP) partner in the country. “In the last couple of years the IT sector in the Middle East has witnessed rapid development and regional companies today demand continuous upgrading to their existing IT infrastructure in order to survive in the competitive business environment,” said Toni Prince, regional manager at CA for The Levant, Egypt, and Libya. “ITS Canada, our first ESP partner in Libya is a highly reputed local IT company and has been chosen through a very stringent selection process. We are confident that together we will exceed all our clients’ expectations as well as further widen our growth within the region,” continued Prince. ITS is the first partner appointment CA has made in the region since reshuffling its EMEA management team last month – a move that saw former CA Arab countries and Pakistan boss Gilbert Lacroix installed as VP CEE and MEA. ITS Canada will offer CA’s range of software and services, including customer environment assessments and IT platform enhancement. It will also use the agreement to go after Libyan midsized and enterprise customers that require management software solutions. Burhaneddin Zahri Muntasser, general manager of Libyan operations for ITS Libya, said: “ITS Libya is one of the leading IT companies within the region and we are happy to have partnered with a worldwide technology leader like CA which has provided us with a great amount of support and commitment in several technical and business facets. Our years of regional IT experience along with CA’s strong market presence will give us the leading edge over other competitors. We look forward to working with CA to provide the market with solutions that fulfill our customers’ requirements.” North America-based ITS, which also boasts operations in Canada, Switzerland and the UK, offers a range of integration services based around ERP software, network infrastructure and security.
