Avaya has kick-started its first in-region workshop for channel partners from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) theatre. The training effort forms part of the communications solution vendor’s ongoing commitment to the channel as a route-to-market to meet growing demand in the region for IT telephony. “It is imperative that when a customer is buying Avaya, they can either talk to our channel partner, or to Avaya directly, knowing they will get the same well-informed expert perspective; unmatched implementation and excellent delivery standards,” commented Roger El-Tawil, channel and marketing manager at Avaya MENA. “We choose our business partners carefully to ensure that this is always the case, commit to ongoing training to develop their knowledge of new products and services, as well as streamlining the operational front of the Avaya-Partner engagement,” he continued. “In a survey conducted at our road show earlier in the year we saw that over 70% of regional businesses were looking at implementing IP telephony in their infrastructure, which offers a fantastic opportunity for channel partners with communications expertise,” El Tawil concluded. The training workshop will focus on a number of areas including enhancing partner engagement and streamlining joint efforts to deliver maximum results and ensure customer satisfaction.
