Hyatt Hotels and Resorts has opened a new five star hotel in Buenos Aires; the thriving cosmopolitan capital of Argentina. The Palacio Duhau, Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is located in the stylish Recoleta district, near to major tourist attractions and nightspots. The hotel comprises a restored palace and a new building, built in the style of the existing one, with 165 rooms and 39 suites, including the Duhau Suite with wrap-around balcony and private pantry. Twenty-three of the rooms, including three special suites, are located in the palace itself, while 142, including 27 suites, are in the adjacent Posadas building. According to Liana Vinacur, the hotel’s head of marketing and communications, around 15% of guests are expected to come from the Middle East and the prospect of Emirates Airlines operating direct flights from Dubai to Argentina could present “the opportunity to increase this 15% to 30% or more”. Vinacur said 60% of guests stay on business, but the hotel’s location meant it was perfect for leisure travellers too. “A Park Hyatt is all about details; art, discretion, and residential feeling,” she said. “The unique aspects of the hotel are the historical building, the beautiful garden and the location.” The hotel also boasts a 750m² spa and wellness centre within the palace, three meeting rooms, and four boardrooms.
