The sixth International Hospitality Forum is being held in Jordan this month, with the Netherlands gearing up for its debut. Running from September 12-14 at the Zara Expo Amman, the show will provide the opportunity for businesses in the hospitality and foodservice sector to promote its products and services, with scheduled events to include bartending, coffee making and table setting competitions. “The Forum should attract more than 4000 visitors, with many well-known chefs coming to observe competitions in a variety of creative cooking methods, including sweet and vegetable carvings,” commented Joumana Salamé, general manager, Hospitality Services. The event will also play host to the culinary art show, which will highlight the creations of more than 100 Jordanian chefs, with the top eight participants winning a fortnight training course at universities and institutes in Switzerland. More than ten countries are expected to participate in the forum, including Austria, France, Switzerland and the UK. This year, the theme of the Orient will prevail in the table setting, chocolate cake and interior design competitions, with the Four Seasons Hotel Amman leading the way with 11 candidates taking part in the competitions.
