Griffins Health Club, at the JW Marriott Dubai, has undergone a complete equipment overhaul, introducing a new range of CV units. Eight new treadmills with state-of-the-art cardio theatres are now available in the Nautilus Gym and Planet Cardio. Three new elipticals and upright machines are also now available, as are two advanced recumbent bikes, ravers and steppers. Once guests are finished exercising, they can unwind by taking advantage of the new, personalised massage service now also available from the club. For a premium, guests staying at the hotel can enjoy the range of popular massage therapies in the privacy of their hotel room. On offer is a 90-minute Sea Escape Hot Stone Therapy, which creates a yin yang balance throughout the body by using both hot and cold sea stones. Various sized stones that also vary in temperature are placed on key pressure points on the body to release tension and relax tired muscles. A Therapeutic Full Body Massage is also available, in which a variety of massage techniques are used during the 50-minutes session, including stress reduction, relaxation and deep tissue detoxification. The club’s masseurs will design the ideal combination to suit each guest’s requirements. Finally, for guests in a hurry, an Express Scalp, Neck and Shoulder Massage takes just 15 minutes. This stress-busting massage is designed to be taken in the middle of a busy day to relieve stress and tension and release the muscles in the head, neck and shoulders to leave guests feeling calm and refreshed.
