Master Franchisers has signed an agreement with Trios, signalling massive expansion for the family-owned franchisee. The move will see five stores open in Saudi Arabia by the end of the year, and 50 across the region in the next five years. Australian-based Trios, which offers healthy wraps with traditional Lebanese bread as its base ingredient, currently has 13 stores located in Melbourne and Sydney. “We knew the time was right to consider the Middle East market. I believe the Laffé and Trios concept will be received strongly in the Middle East considering its increasing focus on health and nutrition,” commented David Elia, managing director, Trios. Trios, which offers products such as warm and filled flatbreads and potatoes, plans to have 100 stores by 2007.
