Six months into his role as CEO of Almasa IT Distribution, Frank Sheu is delivering a wave of new vendor partnerships for the regional distribution giant. Following hot on the heels of recent tie-ups with D-Link and Proview, Almasa has now added components vendor ASRock to its portfolio. The distribution deal with ASRock covers the GCC, Yemen, Oman, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Egypt. Motherboard vendor ASRock is part of Asustek and was established in 2002 to provide a range of products with aggressive price-performance characteristics. Commenting on the deal, Sheu said: “The distribution agreement with ASRock shows once again our strategic approach and commitment to our channel partners in the region. Systems integrators and PC assemblers will especially benefit from our wide range of products that comprises brands across all price categories without compromise in quality.” “We are delighted to have signed the distribution agreement with ASRock. Our continued strong growth proves to both channel partners and vendors that we are the distributor of choice in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region,” he added. James Lee, VP at ASRock, added: “The Middle East is a fast-growing market for hardware components such as motherboards and 3C products. Therefore, a trustworthy distributor with a strong strategic approach to channels representing our products becomes one of the most important criteria in the battle of MENA region.” “Almasa IT Distribution is an aggressive company that excels in logistics and channel. We firmly believe that the cooperation of ASRock and Almasa will definitely boost the business and create a win-win situation for both sides,” Lee added.
