Aptec World Cup winners set for Italian adventure

Regional distributor Aptec has announced the five winners of its FIFA World Cup reseller promotion. The resellers that performed best during the promotion period won tickets to the capital city of the winning country.

Regional distributor Aptec has announced the five winners of its FIFA World Cup reseller promotion. The resellers that performed best during the promotion period won tickets to the capital city of the winning country. With Italy bagging the ultimate football trophy, the five winning resellers are now gearing up for an action-packed reward trip to Rome. From the UAE, Sunny Menghani, general manager at Quality Computers; Shibu Das, general manager at Al Suwaidi, and Feras Al Jabi, general manager at Itqan Al Bawardi all won tickets. They are joined by Nabil Al Otaibi, general manager at Al Mana Computer in Qatar as well as a representative from UAE-based Alpha-Data. “The promotion has created a fantastic momentum among our customers and sales team,” commented Mario Veljovic, sales and marketing manager at Aptec Distribution. “We grew our average weekly sales during the promotion period of three weeks by 29%.” “I obviously supported Germany during the World Cup and looked forward to see our esteemed resellers fly to Berlin, as it is a beautiful and exciting capital, but I hope our resellers will enjoy the trip to Rome — the eternal city,” added Veljovic. The winning resellers were delighted at the outcome of the promotion. “I can say it was a well prepared promotion in terms of its content and timing, it’s a surprising one,” said Itqan’s Al Jabi. “Aptec is a company who always comes up with creative initiatives and this was one of them.” A spokesman for Alpha Data, added: “Alpha Data is delighted to be a winner of the FIFA World Cup 2006 promotion extended by Aptec.
