Systems integrator Itqan has become the first IT firm to win the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award. The systems integrator – who’s name means perfection in Arabic – said the award was recognition of its many customer success stories over the past few years, which include Dubai Police, the Higher Colleges of Technology (Abu Dhabi Women’s College), Emirates Environment Group, the UAE University and the Military Committee for International Defence Exhibitions (CODEX). Itqan is the first systems integrator and solution provider to receive the Quality Appreciation Certificate, Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, which is in its seventh cycle. Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards recognise the achievements of organizations, which can demonstrate that their total quality has contributed significantly to improved performance. Itqan, which began life in 1984 as Al Bawardi Computers, is the third company in the Al Bawardi Group to win the award, with Emdad – Al Bawardi Oil & Gas and Furnicon Royal Interiors, belonging to Albawardi Enterprises Corporate Services also receiving the coveted Quality Appreciation Certificate. “As a strong believer in quality and perfection, Itqan, as a team, will strive to sustain the achieved level of trust empowered to us by the UAE community. It is this commitment that positioned Itqan ahead of the competition to remain the main persona of the System Integrators in the region. We aim to capitalise on this unique opportunity and provide our clients throughout the local and regional markets with the precise message, image and vision of an elite UAE system integrator,” said Feras Al Jabi, general manager of Itqan.
