Retail distributor Source IT has revealed ambitious expansion plans for its mobile phone service centre located at Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Retail distributor Source IT has revealed ambitious expansion plans for its mobile phone service centre located at Dubai Airport Free Zone. The centre, which opened just five months ago, offers a range of services for all brands of mobile phones. More than 10,000 units have been serviced since the centre opened. “The service centre is a growing at a very fast rate in terms of units repaired,” commented Ahmed Al Azzawi, director at Source IT. “We are offering this service to all of our retail partners. Future plans involve offering this service to the rest of the region; to anyone even if the items have not been purchased from us.” Source IT plans to bolster its UAE operation before branching out into other major markets such as Saudi Arabia where the distributor already has an established network of retail partners. Source IT is expanding its infrastructure to put itself in a position whereby its services proposition can be utilised by other vendors offering mobility products and solutions in this region. Al Azzawi continued: “The service centre is geared to offer service options not just for Source IT’s existing vendors but can be used for others too. The team and infrastructure is in place and working well.” Source IT has carved out a solid reputation in the retail distribution of mobile phones, representing Windows mobile handheld device vendor i-mate in the region. The retail-focused also includes Navigon, Bluetek, Jabra, Covertec, Krussell and Leadtek as part of its product portfolio.
