Mobile device specialist i-mate has officially launched its ‘i-mate Suite’, a Windows 5 device and data management software solution for business users available in 30-day trial form from www.imatesuite.com. I-mate claims this “lifeline" allows users with Windows Mobile 5-based smartphones and PDAs to minimise downtime, safeguard their data and securely transfer information on the go. The suite comprises three apps in all: i-mate Control, i-mate 1-View and i-mate Backup. ’1-View’ gives Windows Mobile devices access to corporate networks and files, expands mobile device storage, and provides document, data, and file sharing. ‘Control’ allows enterprises to safeguard their sensitive data, remotely configure or troubleshoot devices, automatically update all devices in the field wirelessly and remotely customise devices. Last but not least, ‘i-mate Backup’ provides remote wireless data backup and restore functions to Windows Mobile devices. “I-mate Suite was developed in response to consumer demand to give users total command and control of their Windows Mobile device and data securely anytime, anywhere,” said i-mate’s CEO, Jim Morrison. “It is also the ideal solution to provide a corporate IT manager the same command over his Windows Mobile devices as it does over his PC infrastructure, but all remotely, so that he can implement his IT structures and polices over all his devices. We will be offering the same service on a hosted model to SME and individual professionals,” Morrison added. I-mate is offering users a free 30-day trial of i-mate Suite, after which is will cost US $9.99 per month. Find out more or download the solution from www.imatesuite.com. i-mate first announced it was to offer business customers 'i-mate Suite’ in April this year, plus it launched ‘Play-In ~ Play-Out’ titles for gamers on the go.
