Toshiba is giving regional football fans the chance to own special World Cup editions of its IT products as part of its sponsorship of the event.

Toshiba is giving regional football fans the chance to own special World Cup editions of its IT products as part of its sponsorship of the event. On offer throughout the World Cup, customers can buy the special 2006 FIFA World Cup Toshiba Edition package, which consists of a Toshiba Satellite A100-237 notebook along with a copy of FIFA 2006 by Electronic Arts and a Logitech game pad. The full bundle will retail for US $1300. The Satellite A100-237 is equipped with an Intel Centrino processor, a 512Mbyte ATI Radeon X1600 graphics card and a 15.4-inch widescreen TFT display. On the memory front, the Satellite boasts 512 Mbytes of RAM, which can be upgraded to 4Gbytes, an 80Gbyte hard disk and four USB ports. Bluetooth and WiFi support are also included. According to the Toshiba, visitors to its dedicated World Cup website, www.be-part-of-the-game.com, can enter a competition to win prizes including Toshiba notebooks and even game tickets for the event itself.
