Toshiba has added to its line-up of Qosmio series AV-notebook PCs with the launch of the F30. Aimed squarely at digital home users, this is the first Toshiba model to include Dolby Home Theatre audio technology. “The Qosmio F30 with Dolby gives the best audio experience of any notebook on the market,” claimed Ahmed Khalil, general manager of Toshiba Computer Systems Division, Middle East and Africa. Having a Dolby Home Theatre-enabled notebook means F30 users can fully immerse themselves in movies and music by running a fully supported surround-sound speaker system. The F30 combines this technology with a 1-bit digital amplifier, Harmon Kardon bass-reflection speakers and Toshiba’s proprietary QosmioEngine, making it what Toshiba claims Is the current benchmark in mobile entertainment. In addition, the Qosmio F30 offers a fully integrated TV tuner, with which these users can also enjoy and record TV content. Buyers should expect to pay approximately US $2190 for this notebook PC.
