Vendor giant HP has named Gilles Lambinet as the replacement for Christoph Schell. Lambinet takes on the role of solution partners organisation (SPO) manager in the Middle East and Africa, Central and Eastern Europe region. Lambinet previously held the position of category and marketing manager for HP’s personal systems group (PSG) in the Middle East and Africa, Central and Eastern Europe region. During his time holding this position, Lambinet contributed to the growth and profitability of the vendor’s complete line of personal computing solutions, according to HP. “Gilles Lambinet is a strong leader and brings a sound experience of the region and its channel partners to his new role,” commented Jos Brenkel, VP HP SPO Europe, Middle East and Africa. “I have every confidence he will drive profitable growth for both our partners and HP in the region.” Prior to his PSG role, Lambinet was a market development manager with HP’s technology solutions group. Lambinet started his career at HP in 1997 as supply chain development manager. Before joining HP, Lambinet held several sales roles with companies in the automotive and glass industry, where he was responsible for global customer relations. Lambinet will assume his new role immediately and will report into Brenkel and Antoine Maury, VP PSG Middle East and Africa, Central and Eastern Europe. Schell is continuing his career with HP as VP of the imaging and printing group (IPG) for the South Pacific region based out of Sydney, Australia.
