Ariba adds Tazbaz

Spend management solutions provider Ariba has appointed Rony Tazbaz to spearhead its commercial efforts in the Middle East. With more than 14 years of enterprise software experience, Tazbaz is responsible for establishing a network of partners across the region as well as driving direct sales.

Spend management solutions provider Ariba has appointed Rony Tazbaz to spearhead its commercial efforts in the Middle East. With more than 14 years of enterprise software experience, Tazban is responsible for establishing a network of partners across the region as well as driving direct sales. “The Middle East is an emerging area, and the need for spend management solutions is on the rise,” said Michael Arenth, EMEA sales director Northern region at Ariba. “Rony Tazbaz has the experience and understanding of local business environments Ariba needs to maximise opportunities in the Middle East and help companies of all shapes and sizes realise the benefits that spend management delivers.” Tazbaz commented: “I am honoured to be leading Ariba’s commercial efforts in the Middle East. Ariba created spend management and leads the market with its innovative solutions. I look forward to leveraging my skills to make spend management a key business priority among companies in the region and provide them with technology, commodity expertise and services they need to achieve excellence.” Tazbaz joins Ariba as its new regional manager following a seven-year spell at SSA Global where he led the vendor’s Middle East direct and indirect sales operations. 1,500-strong NASDAQ-quoted Ariba specialises in solutions that allow enterprises to manage the purchase of non-payroll goods and services. Ariba, which has a market capitalisation of US$664m, achieved global revenues of US$304m for the year ending March 2006.
