AMD promotes platform perks

Components vendor AMD is once again making an appearance at Gitex Saudi Arabia to proactively promote its solutions and benefits to local and international customers.

Components vendor AMD is once again making an appearance at Gitex Saudi Arabia to proactively promote its solutions and benefits to local and international customers. During the show, the firm is participating alongside its channel partners to promote AMD-based solutions and their benefits to consumers, small and medium businesses as well as enterprise customers. According to AMD, its approach to the market is to learn what the specific needs and requirements of its customers are. “We believe that Gitex Saudi Arabia provides an excellent platform for AMD to understand — from our partners — what the needs of Saudi Arabian customers are, thus enabling AMD to better align our solutions to the real needs of the region,” states Gaith Kadir, general manager of AMD for the Middle East and Africa. The firm also aims to work with the government to widen the adoption of the internet under its 50x15 initiative, which aims to see 50% of the world’s population adopt the internet by the year 2015. AMD also plans to work with local system builders and PC makers to develop solutions specifically for the needs of the Saudi market. This week’s show is vital for the success of AMD’s long-term Saudi Arabia ambitions.
