As one of the leading providers of Arabic-language software in the Middle East and North Africa region, Ariss Computer is spending this year’s Gitex Saudi Arabia explaining to potential customers just how its products can help them grow their business or even enhance their non-work life. “We will be promoting our compact disc (CD) titles that we have developed within Ariss,” explains Ziad Ariss, executive manager at Ariss Computer. The Saudi Arabian company, which was established back in 1986, sells a wide range of software. It now boasts a catalogue of more than 400 solutions, including the latest versions of the products it started with 20 years ago, which include electronic dictionaries and publishing tools. “We develop educational and reference material for multimedia and CD distribution,” continues Ariss. Ariss Computer recently launched an educational CD to help Arabic-speaking users learn different languages. To date, the Saudi Arabian firm has developed programmes for learning English, French and others. The company has also enhanced its range of digital reference materials, which include dictionaries, educational programmes for children, an Atlas, and also scientific encyclopaedias. Ariss Computer now plans to increase its presence in the Saudi Arabian market and tap into the Kimgdom’s growing population base and desire for IT-related offerings. Appearing at this week’s show is a critical step in fulfilling that ambition. “Gitex Saudi Arabia is a key event on our agenda every year as it is a good place to meet potential customers and to learn what they need in order to increase our sales in this market,” explains Ariss. In addition to boosting its long term business plans at the show by raising brand and product awareness, Ariss Computer also hopes that the annual information technology trade show will help it achieve three of its strategic business objectives for the coming year. “Although we have many objectives for the Saudi Arabian market and beyond, our main focus for this year will be on developing more titles for the Saudi market, increasing our existing sales by approximately 10%, and expanding brand recognition in the Saudi Arabian market and beyond,” Ariss says. With more and more Saudi consumers and corporate users looking to exploit technology for personal and business benefits, Ariss expects thousands of visitors to flock to its stand during the next five days to find out more.
