Dar Al Melaha is a company that knows where it is going, and so does its client base. Trading as SaudiNav, it distributes satellite location and tracking technology, including brands like Geotab, Garmin and Mapinfo. The company will be exhibiting at Gitex Saudi this year, as it has since the exhibition began, and believes that the show will help to create awareness of the need for its products. Eesa Sulaiman Al-Malahi, director of Dar Al Melaha, says: “We want to be a one-stop solution provider for all Geoinformatics products in Saudi Arabia. We are appearing at Gitex Saudi Arabia to create awareness about the use of Geoinformatics and GIS applications in both the public and private sector.” Dar Al Melaha is one of the pioneers in GPS (Global Positioning System), GIS and AVLS (Automatic Vehicle Locating System) in Saudi Arabia and has experience in navigation systems, location-based services, digital mapping, vehicle tracking and fleet management systems. The company will be promoting GPS for Bluetooth and handheld devices, as well as vehicle and personal trackers. Dar Al Melaha aims to be a market leader in vehicle tracking and fleet management systems, and Al-Malahi is confident that there will be a strong demand for its products in the Kingdom. “We feel there is a very good scope for GIS and location-based services in Saudi Arabia,” continues Al-Malahi. "The show has proved to be a great opportunity to meet new and existing clients. We are looking forward to similar success this year."
