Hard drive giant Maxtor will seize the opportunity at Gitex Saudi to promote digital storage devices, extend its service support and build up its channel network. Ahead of the proposed merger between Seagate and Maxtor, the vendor will work closely with its local partners in the Kingdom. Jarir Bookstore, which has been recently selected as a retail distribution partner in Saudi Arabia, will showcase Maxtor’s complete range of consumer storage solutions. “This appointment reflects Maxtor’s commitment to the MEA market,” states Rajeev Mukul, general manager, Maxtor Middle East. “We are in a strong position to bring Maxtor’s cutting-edge technology and easy to use storage solutions to consumers and small business users in the Saudi market,” explains a Jarir Bookstore spokesperson.
