Zebra launches PartnersFirst

Printing solutions vendor Zebra has unveiled PartnersFirst, its EMEA channel partner programme. The company developed the programme following intensive analysis of individual markets and distribution and reseller channels in the region.

Printing solutions vendor Zebra has unveiled PartnersFirst, its EMEA channel partner programme. The company developed the programme following intensive analysis of individual markets and distribution and reseller channels in the region. “With 100% of our sales coming from the channel in EMEA, we wanted to ensure the right support structure is in place for all our partners,” said Paul Garner, Zebra’s Dubai-based regional sales manager for the Middle East, India and South Africa. “By recognising different skills and commitment within Zebra’s partner community, we have been able to set out a reward mechanism that will encourage partners to invest in our business.” “For different countries, a set of varied criteria is clear for each level of accreditation. This ensures PartnersFirst is fair and representative of local market conditions and pricing, whilst motivating our partners to grow their business with Zebra,” he added. “PartnersFirst, Zebra’s channel programme, is an ideal opportunity for ScanSource Europe to reinforce its partnership with Zebra,” said Xavier Cartiaux, managing director at Zebra distributor ScanSource. “Zebra’s determination to change how its partners are supported and rewarded will benefit the channel and will help ScanSource to support the reseller community.” The PartnersFirst programme clearly differentiates distributors from direct resellers through the inclusion of a special partner track specifically for authorised distributors. The programme also recognises the support required by resellers that purchase through authorised distributors. These partners will benefit from close contact with their local distributor, while simultaneously engaging with Zebra for sales, marketing, training and technical support. Zebra plans to constantly evolve PartnersFirst as new products and technologies are developed. The programme recognises three tiers of direct resellers: premier partners, advanced partners and associate partners. These core tracks run alongside specific sub-tracks that reward excellence in specific areas such as RFID and Zebra supplies. All existing partners can apply online to take part in the new programme.
