Jumeirah has officially opened H2O The Male Spa, a men-only spa at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The City Life Spa features what the group calls “active relaxation” for male residents of the hotel. “All over the world there is a new generation of body and health-conscious men. H2O The Male Spa caters not only to men in general but also to businessmen and frequent travellers,” said Doris Greif, general manager of Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The men’s spa comprises of four multi-purpose treatment rooms, a relaxation area and a floatation pool. The spa concept has been developed following thorough research into global spa and lifestyle trends. The new spa is located in close proximity to Jumeirah Emirates Towers’ Health Club and 25-metre outdoor pool for those wishing to combine treatments with a fitness regime. The treatment menu at H2O The Male Spa is designed to serve the needs of international businessmen, offering cures to ease discomfort after long-haul flights and frequent travelling, as well as revive and energise after long meetings, conferences and late nights. H2O is exclusively available to hotel guests along with Office Tower tenants, Health Club members and Sirius Gold cardholders. The spa offers fast and result-orientated treatments providing maximum relaxation and revitalisation in a short time. “Time is a rare commodity and we’ve therefore developed a treatment menu for H2O that features express and longer sessions to accommodate male travellers and their needs,” said Greif. “Our decision to introduce this unique concept was influenced by the guest mix at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, which comprises more than 80% male business travellers. This is a very attractive niche for innovative products and experiences,” she added. There is a wide variety of massage and body treatments available, ranging from the Executive Jet Lag Reviver, and Deep Tissue Sports Massage to Volcanic Hot Stone Massage, Nordic De-light Swedish Massage and Exotic Kahuna Hawaiian Massage. Facial treatments include the H2O Oxygen Facelift and Gentlemen’s Deep Cleansing Facial. In addition de-stress hand and foot treatments and reflexology are available, as are waxing and tanning treatments. In the Oxygen Lounge, guests can relax in Cosmos active massage chairs, which ease tired muscles with 47 different types of massage. Guests can also breathe pure oxygen in the Oxygen Bar, improving tissue oxygenation and curing jet lag. At the same time, guests can choose to listen to music or watch a movie with specially developed 3D glasses. Treatments at H2O use Aromatherapy Associates products, which contain natural ingredients sourced from around the world. Linen from Frette is exclusively manufactured in Italy for the spa. H2O’s new spa manager, Cecilia Larson, has had extensive experience working at two of the most famous spas in her home country of Sweden, the Varbergs Kurort spa and Hagabadet Spa in Gothenburg, which was recently nominated the best spa in Europe. “I am very excited about the new male concept and the quite unique spa experience that we are trying to create and I am confident it will be a huge success,” said Larson.
