Dubai-based PC assembler MST Computers is following up on a hatful of leads after a successful two-day promotion at Burjuman Centre in Dubai. MST — an Intel premium partner — showcased its top of the range Samtek desktop PCs during the promotion period. “The event was a complete success and evoked a tremendous response from the visitors at the mall,” said Jayaraj, marketing manager at MST. “Many among the walk in visitors were curious to know about the specific benefits from the desktops running on the new generation of Intel processors.” MST displayed two of its top range Samtek PCs featuring Intel Pentium D processors during the event and backed up its physical presence with fliers, banners and promotional material at the mall. MST claims that its latest Samtek models deliver improved performance for customers. “Samtek is a very reliable range of PCs and notebooks, comparable to first tier brands but much cheaper,” explained Afshin Makmalbaf, director at MST Computers. “We want to drive the message to the customers and the event has helped us.” Samtek plans to hold similar promotional events for its notebooks in the near future. “We are more than satisfied with the event and have been able to generate over 150 customer queries at the event,” added Jayaraj. “We hope to convert all of these into possible sales soon enough.” MST management reckons that events such as the exercise in Burjuman enhance Samtek’s brand equity and credibility in the market and play a pivotal role in reaching out directly to end-users.
