Trend Micro targets SMB focused resellers

Security software vendor Trend Micro has teamed up with Online Distribution to launch a series of channel promotions aimed at beefing up reseller breadth in the lucrative small and medium business sector.

Security software vendor Trend Micro has teamed up with Online Distribution to launch a series of channel promotions aimed at beefing up reseller breadth in the lucrative small and medium business sector. “As part of the promotion, which runs till the end of this month, new partners will receive up to a 5% discount on all Trend Micro security solutions orders placed with Online Distribution,” said Sushma Kajaria, security business unit sales manager at Online. “We recognise the key role the channel plays in protecting businesses in the Middle East by creating awareness of this new campaign, and ensuring that as many companies as possible are involved with it. As a value added distribution house, our prime responsibility is to develop and support our partners so that we build mutually beneficial relationships,” Kajaria added. Ghassan Lababidi, marketing manager at Trend Micro Middle East and Africa, added: “Trend Micro also runs a ‘worry free’ campaign which is designed to help companies combat the threats posed by viruses and malicious activity on the web. Our research has shown that 57% of small businesses have encountered a rise in the level of phishing in recent months, so we feel it is ideally timed.” “We are supporting Online Distribution to run both the campaigns, as our aim is to drive it as far as possible throughout the region, and reach as many small and medium sized businesses as we can,” Lababidi added.
