US brand opens outlet in Dubai

Charley's Grilled Subs opens its second outlet in Dubai, and looks ahead to future expansion in the emirate

Charley’s Grilled Subs has opened its second restaurant in Dubai, on Al Diyafah Street. The company, which already has an outlet at the Mall of the Emirates, is also planning to expand further in the UAE by the end of the year. Managed by Dubai-based Al Madani Group, the restaurant is part of US-based Gosh Enterprises, which has franchised the restaurant to the UAE group, allowing it to open other Charley’s Grilled Subs across the Emirates. “A buoyant economy and a consistent growth in tourism numbers across the region are the main driving forces behind the growth of the regional food and beverage industry,” said Mohammad Al Madani, CEO, Al Madani Group. “These are the reasons, along with people willing to experiment new cuisines, for entering this sector,” he added. As a worldwide brand, Charley’s Grilled Subs is known for its made to order grilled steaks, chicken, turkey and vegetarian sandwiches, as well as its fries and a variety of fresh salads. Located in shopping malls around the world, as well as a number of casual dining restaurant outlets, Charley’s Grilled Subs in the UAE is expected to increase its presence with a number of new outlets set to open in Business Bay, Dubai Mall, Dubai Festival City and the Mall of Arabia. “We currently have two restaurants open in Dubai, and although we will continue to expand in this emirate in particular, we will also expand to other emirates as well,” said Al Madani.
