EBV arrives in Dubai

EBV Elektronik, an Avnet subsidiary and leading player in semiconductor distribution in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has opened a sales office in Dubai. EBV has partnered with regional distributor Sky Electronics to offer its customers local support services.

EBV Elektronik, an Avnet subsidiary and leading player in semiconductor distribution in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) has opened a sales office in Dubai. EBV has also partnered with regional distributor Sky Electronics to offer its customers local support services. “Dubai will be one of the world’s premier high-technology areas in the semiconductor industry and is therefore a place where EBV needs to be present,” said Slobodan Puljarevic, VP and director sales and marketing for EBV Elektronik East Europe. “Dubai’s innovation-driven technology community and their research and development centres will provide EBV with huge growth opportunities. On the other hand EBV’s technical, logistical and commercial services will add substantial value to the supply chain of customers in Dubai and the whole Middle east, so it will be a win-win-win situation for our customers, suppliers and EBV,” Puljarevic added. EBV represents just over 20 manufacturers and offers its customers a complete package of technology services that allows them to translate designs into series production as fast as possible, thereby allowing them to save on time and costs according to EBV. EBV offers slick logistics solutions for its customers and integrated service offerings. In full year 2005, EBV posted sales of US$1.19 billion. At present, EBV claims to hold a permanent inventory of more than US$270m and process more than 100,00 individual orders per year. The company currently boasts more than 50 offices spread throughout the EMEA region.
