Avaya is calling on all its business associates to attend its latest conference from 27th February to 1st March, aimed at partners both old and new, to bring them in line with the telephony networking giant’s plans for 2006. Because of its rapid growth in the region, with the company marking out the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt as hotspots, Avaya has decided to hold its partner updates twice a year from 2006; in February and June to make sure it is fully addressing its channel. “Today the partners that are coming on board are those with skills in data networking and enterprise partners that want to add communication to their portfolio. We are also looking at SME partners who can provide smaller turnkey solutions for offices of less than 100 people, driven by a distribution model,” said Roger El Tawil, channel and marketing director at Avaya Middle East and North Africa. Tawil also adds that Avaya’s partner events have been doubling in size every year and he expects a turnout of around 150 to the partner meet, dubbed ‘Intelligent and uniform communications for the mobile enterprise.’ The stress of the event will be on Avaya’s product forecasts, updates, and examples of how to apply solutions to specific industries to help its partners drive their businesses to become more competitive. “We are providing our partners with the right tools to provide the right solutions and access the right information at the right time. We want them to position their enterprise mobility and communication effectively in the marketplace, and to bring value to their customers,” added Tawil. The Avaya partner update will be held at the Emirates Towers hotel in Dubai.
